If it's a "cheat meal" then the only restriction would be "how much before YOU feel guilty"

For me, on rare occasion I will eat 4 slices of Hawaiian Pizza (92 carbs) which is about 3 times my typical meal limit (<35 carbs)

And yes my Libre2 starts screaming at me while my blood sugar shoots for the moon, but if you "really behave" otherwise, sometimes you still get to "pretend" 😁

Most diabetics and prediabetics can handle 100-130 net carbs daily.

If you are impatient and want to see results quickly, you might want to cut back to one serving of net carbs (15 carbs) per meal.

You can also try eating to your blood glucose meter and the nondiabetic range of 4.0(72 usa) to 7.8(140 usa), both before eating and 2 hour numbers.

If you maintain your numbers in this range you can arrest the cumulative vascular damage from glucose spikes, that diabetes complications and comorbidities feed on.

Take control of your journey.

My" cheat " is chocolate - a few( 5) a day over the Xmas / New year period.
Also Easter, birthdays.........that's when it's too much and has to stop 🚏 🛑
