Thanx, my GP changed mine to Glucophage XD Wich is also extended release, and it is going so much better

I had issues with Metformin but then started to use the extended release. I had better luck with that

If not already taking,swop to extended release Metformin does help stop the gastro problems.If that doesn't help only replacement is basal insulin- which in my case was a much better option than the Metformin.
