The biggies to avoid are:

1) Added Sugars - that is sugar that is put into a product during processing to make it taste better - think regular Coke with it's 39 grams (almost 10 teaspoons) of Sugar that have zero nutritional value and there totally for "taste"

2) Natural Sugars - while they may be in a healthy food, like an Apple which is "otherwise" good for us, we need to restrict "how much" you consume

An apple a day might keep the doctor away but eat 3 or 4 a day and the Diabetes Doctor may be explaining to you Why you are developing a Vascular Disease

3) White Starches - White Potato, White Rice, White Flour (bread/rolls/baked goods) and White Pasta - these starches jack your blood sugar higher than doing "sugar shooters" and keep your numbers jacked longer than just about anything else

And yes, much to the dismay of Diabetics everywhere - Pizza Crust and French Fries are about the two WORST foods a Diabetic can stick in their mouth
