Does caffenated coffee spike blood sugar? If so, should you limit the intake of coffee?

It isn't the coffee that is a problem, it's what you add to it. Sweeteners, sugar, milk

Yes caffeine MIGHT spike your blood sugar.200mg of caffeine ......like everything else about diabetes it varies,each of us will be different.If you check your levels and no spike then it's ok to drink coffee.

I have not had a problem with coffee. I use nut pods, a zero sugar creamer. Just like everything with diabetes it is different for everyone.

I watched the webinar last week and they do say caffeinated coffee does spike your sugar?It's the caffeine that's in it.That's doing that to the body.Just think when you're don't have one how your body feels

I have a friend who has had Diabetes for decades, and she drinks lots of coffee everyday, but she drinks it black...then drinks water in between. I have read reports that if you drink Dark Ground coffee..Black..helps with Diabetes. Coffee is also a Diuretic, so it might reduce your sugar by eliminating it.
