Is Extra Virgin Olive Oil Good For Your Blood Sugar

Not directly - nothing you can eat/consume except water and meds will lower your blood sugar

Olive Oil will not raise your sugar levels, is 84% unsaturated fats so Heart Healthy and contains Omega-3's which we need and can only effectively get from food

So lot's of good reasons to use Olive Oil (if you cook with it use it at a lower heat setting - it burns quicker than normal cooking oil), but it won't "lower" your blood sugar but it won't bump it up either

It is also high in .monounsaturated fat. Which are beneficial to you.

Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,

A little oil with carbs can lower the glucose spike a bit after meals. Buttered toast is better than dry toast. Dipping a crust of bread in olive oil is better than just eating the crust if bread.
