My Tresiba Is Not Covered By My Insurance Any More....what Are My Options To Replace......tresiba Works Very Well For Me

Basaglar, Lantus, Levemir, Novolin, and Toujeo are Tresiba alternatives BUT none of them are exactly the same insulin (formula)

Tresiba is still a patent protected formula - degludec - which is why it is more expensive than many other options so at present there are no "biosimilars" available

Tresiba has been engineered to cause "less risk of low blood sugar" and while that is certainly a positive, that doesn't make it "better" at dealing with the blood sugar - just a little safer to take than the other options
