Short answer is NO

You can alleviate the symptoms with Gabapentin (Neurontin) or Pregabalin (Lyrica) which "masks" the sensation but the condition continues to get worse

Getting perfect control of your blood sugar will slow it down or possibly stop it from getting worse

But like all of the diabetic complication, by the time you notice them it's pretty much too late to "fix the problem" - it was years of damage that caused it and you can't roll it back

- Medications: Commonly prescribed medications include tricyclic antidepressants, serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, and gamma-aminobutyric acid analogs. Opioids and topical creams may also be added if needed.

Lifestyle Changes
- Physical Activity: Stay active and take breaks from sitting by walking around every 30 minutes.
- Healthy Diet: Eat a balanced diet and lose weight if overweight.
- Limit Alcohol and Quit Smoking: Both can exacerbate neuropathy symptoms.

Treating Complications
- Foot Care: Regular at-home foot care and yearly foot exams are essential.
- Specific Treatments: For complications like gastroparesis, smaller, more frequent meals can help. Bladder problems or sexual dysfunction may be treated with medications.

Communication
- Talk to Your Doctor: Discuss any symptoms or complications with your healthcare provider to determine the best treatment plan.
