I had 15 injections into each eyeball to remove calcium deposits that were pressing on my retina. It took them a few months to dissolve all calcium deposits. I had severe pain with blood in both eyes before the injections. I received plenty of lidocaine drops into both eyes to numb them before the injections. I didn't feel the needle go in or come out.
