My A1C is now 7.8 which higher than it has been and maybe partly my fault. I just took the first dose of RYBELSUS today. I also take Metformin and Glipizide. BS today was125 but usually 145-175. I am uneasy on these new oral meds. That is why I was wondering if Rybelsus had helped anyone else? I think I'd rather be on insulin but doctor said no not yet. I'm also hoping to find new doctor if another internist around not too far away.

] may stop taking Rybelsus. I've felt sick all day since taking it. Doctor won't be happy since the other new meds I tried didn't work either.

I like you take only Metformin & Glipizide both are extended release. And the last 3 tob4 years my A1Cs have been mostly between 7.2 & 7.5. I am 74 & on regular Medicare. They do not pay much towards the newer Diabetes medications. I read on the news that in 2026 a few of the newer Diabetes medications Jardiance & a couple of others may lower for Medicare patients in 2026 like Insulin did a couple of years ago.
