Hello @A DiabetesTeam Member

The used sensors and the applicator (plunger part that you use to fasten it) should go into a "sharps" container

The sensor itself doesn't have a (sharp) but it does have the fiber which was inserted through your skin so could pose a potential bio hazard

The applicator does have a sharp in it (hollow needle that the fiber sits inside when it pierces the skin and even though it similar is to other injectors (like an epi- pen) it is a "needle"

You can toss the (cup) that held the sensor in regular garbage/recycle but the sensor/applicator are potential biohazards/sharps, so I toss both of them in my sharps container and drop them at the drug store for proper disposal

I put the packaging in the recycle bag and the needle part in bio-waste which, when full in about 100 years (the thing is massive) , I take to the local drug store for disposal.
