How Often Should I Get My Eyes Checked To Track And Prevent Retinopathy? Thanks
I have type 2, and before I was diagnosed I was already wearing glasses for years (can't see far, my night vision is low, and sometimes I can't read small characters or things get blurry).

Standard protocol at least in Ontario Canada where I live is "once a year" which is paid for by our Provincial Health Care (public) Plan if you have Diabetes
And it should be an Ophthalmologist, not simply an Optometrist at most quickie glasses places
To track and prevent diabetic retinopathy, it's recommended to have regular eye exams. Here are the guidelines:
- Yearly Exams: For those with mild disease, yearly visits to an ophthalmologist are suggested
