I do have a couple friends that have had it done and said it didn't hurt but was scary seeing the (needle) coming for your eye

I've had two courses of three injections per course over a period of one year. They do not hurt just a feeling of pressure in the eye. It's over very quickly too; the docs don't hang about in the eye. Just don't touch the eyelids at all because the whole area is very sensitive afterwards for a few hours and more. Best thing to do, I found, is to lie down in a darkened bedroom and sleep. The anxious part is the wating for the appointment and the prep.
