I have Diabetic Retinopathy and have my eyes checked regularly. The drops usually last for a couple of hours or so, it's so they can check the back of your eyes. Nothing to stress over and you can wear a pair of sunglasses when you go outside so it's easier on your eyes till they return to normal. I'm sure you will be fine and you could try taking deep breaths to help with the anxiety too.

I've had my eyes dilated several times in the past year for diabetes checks and cataract surgery. They stay dilated for along time but I don't remember any blurriness. Just make sure you have a good pair of dark sunglasses ready.
