What Can I Do With A Recurring Urinary Tract Infections ?
I am a male dibietec patient and I have a recurring urinary infection .It comes back oftenly after a month on antibiotics.
You may want to speak to your pharmacist or doctor, some diabetic medications can cause urinary issues such as infections. Also having high sugar levels can be a source of frequent urine infections, I had 1 every 3 or 4 months for 1 1/2 yr before being diagnosed diabetic, so once my sugar levels got better no more infections. In my 20's I had them often and took cranberry juice back then, but I was not diabetic, so I am not sure if cranberry juices (or any juice) would raise sugar levels. But ask your pharmacist who can maybe contact your doctor if it is one of your medications. There are so many new diabetic medications out there it is hard to know which ones can make you prone to infections. Also maybe pharmacist might have advice as to what you can do to prevent them, they are a great resource and have your medication list on file so can help you out.
I have heard that drinking alot will help keep someone from getting a UTI. I won't hurt you to stay well hydrated.
Try drinking diet cranberry juice, the pharmacist and drs nurse told me there is probiotics and something in the job ice that helps with the bacteria.
