There is not much that you can do. Just continue your diabetic meds and watch what you eat. Being sick and the meds they use can raise blood sugar. This is something out of your control. Hope you get well soon.

If you are admitted to the hospital and your blood sugar is out of control, it's crucial to work closely with your healthcare team. Here are some steps and considerations based on the knowledge base:

- Monitoring: Ensure your blood glucose levels are being monitored frequently. For type 1 diabetes, this can range from four to ten times per day.
- Treatment Adjustments: Your healthcare team may need to adjust your insulin or other medications.
- Emergency Situations: If your blood sugar levels are dropping or rising rapidly and you’re struggling to manage, seek immediate medical attention.
- Support: People close to you should know how to give you a glucagon injection in case you aren’t able to treat a severe low yourself.

Always consult your healthcare team for personalized advice and treatment adjustments.

Thank you, I'm still here and my diabetes is all off and mismanaged so badly. The dr has me on a steroid to get rid of a lung infection but it's making my blood sugar go from 7.5 to 22.2! I have even tried not eating it just makes it worse. I'll wait until I'm discharged and get back into my rhythm again hopefully.
