Vitamins
Feels like since I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes I get sick more often. Question is do any of you take a multi vitamin? If so what kind?
I take a generic multi vitamin that i get at Sams club.
My youngest baby girl hardly ate for a few days the 1st time she had covid. It put her totally down for 3 weeks. She started to lose her hair. In the course of another week she lost about 75% of her long gorgeous brown hair. It was really rough on her.
It was a combination of not eat eating and covid.
In the course of the next few months her hair began growing back. She was eating right again. But it grew back wavy, almost Curly. Still nice just different. When it was all said and done almost 90% of the long hair was gone. When she felt comfortable she cut off the strands of long hair.
The 2nd time she had covid, it put her down for 2 weeks. Both times the family she nannied for exposed her. The 3rd time covid put her down for 5 days. Not wanting to hog all the fun, she shared covid with me. And I couldn't get out of bed for 3 days.
About 3-4 weeks later our youngest grands shared their 3rd round of covid with me. I couldnt get out of bed for 5 days.
Many diabetics are deficient in B vitamins, B12 in particular
But it's tough to get what you need from an over-the-counter if you actually have the deficiency. The Doc can add a B-12 test as part of your normal A1C/bloodwork and correct with an injectable shot if needed
Otherwise it never hurts to take Vitamin D which we never get enough of. But certainly an analysis from a dietitian or nutritionist who can look at "what you eat" and make recommendations from there
Does Anyone Else Take Supplements. I Take Omega 3, D3 And B12. Just Curious.
