For the most part they can't hurt and do contain a slew of vitamins and minerals

Diabetics in particular can be deficient in B-Vitamins, particularly B-12, and low in iron but may be high in potassium etc and in general a multi-vitamin would contain a little of each but not enough if you were actually deficient in particular one

So often it's better to talk to a Doc or dietitian/nutritionist - the latter can ask you about what/how you eat and get a better idea if you need supplements for a specific deficiency instead of a "bit of everything"

So, probably won't hurt and may help a little but a targeted approach may be better
