I am reading Dr. Sidhartha Mukherjeeās new book, The Song of the Cell. Many of you may have read his two previous books, The Emperor of all Maladies ( A biography of cancer), and The Gene: An Intimate History. The chapter on the Selfish Cell in his book, The Song of the Cell, is fascinating. And for us diabetics the chapter on, Orchestrating Cells, has amazing thoughts about our pancreas and itās cell function in diabetes. Many new develops are on the horizon. There are over 37 trillion cells in the human body. If one cellās contents were taken apart it would stretch to 6 1/2 feet. All the cells would stretch to the sun and back. Great read on many promising workings on cells for us diabetics.
Yes, Dr. Siddhartha is a great writer. I think you will equally love his new book. Happy Motherās Day to you.
Jimmers - may have to check that book out. I am familiar with this writer.
Very informative Graham! Thanks for updating us on this news. It's encouraging to know that new discoveries are being made. I had never heard that diabetics tend to have less cancer -- that's a nice "little" silver lining.
That is some great information Graham thanks for sharing š¤
