I don’t drink wine. I would only have a beer once in awhile.

Thank, I am not counting Carbs. Not overweight, fairly fit and busy, and if I say beer I mean moderate, like once in 3 weeks or so, etc. I have never mesured my levels after a beer session, with my Friday dinner. Lost my taste for whickey and red wine completely.

Wait a damn minute: If you can have beer…then damn….I’m having punch!!!

Let’s ask the lady who a few years back asked a question saying, “Can I have a cookie?”…

I almost fell off the couch!!

PS: Just be aware there is a lot of carbs in beer. If you’re counting carbs-make sure to add beer carbs to your calculation.

Yes, people with type 2 diabetes can drink beer, but there are important considerations to keep in mind:

- Consult Your Doctor: Always seek medical advice before drinking alcohol. Your doctor can provide personalized recommendations based on your health and medications.
- Moderation: Limit your intake to no more than two drinks per day for men and one per day for women. One standard drink is defined as 12 ounces of beer.
- Manage Your Diabetes: Ensure your diabetes is well-managed before consuming alcohol. If your diabetes isn’t under control, drinking may worsen your condition.
- Monitor for Symptoms: Be aware of symptoms like tingling in hands and feet, blood pressure spikes, and vision problems, which may indicate poorly managed diabetes.
- Medication Interactions: Some diabetes medications, like metformin, can interact negatively with alcohol. Discuss this with your doctor.

Always prioritize your health and consult with your healthcare provider to make informed decisions.
