@A DiabetesTeam Member My knowledge is limited but I know the following things help control blood sugar: determine the grams of carbs that your body can handle (everyone is different). Then spread the carbs out evenly across your meals. Lose weight if you need to. Exercise daily. Eliminate unhealthy foods and beverages from your diet and eat more diabetic friendly foods. Also stress and illness can elevate blood sugar. What have you done so far to gain control over your blood glucose? Are you on meds?

@A DiabetesTeam Member I was able to avoid the meds by making lifestyle changes when I was about to become fully diabetic (pre-diabetic). Because of this I have no personal experience with being on diabetes meds. Though I have made a lot of lifestyle changes to turn my numbers around and get them going in the right direction though. It has taken a year of determination but is well worth it and improved my life in ways I did not expect.

The first step in my losing weight was to begin eating 1500 calories a day. I had never counted calories before, so this was a steep learning curve for me. Over a years' time I have lost 40 pounds -enough to lower my blood glucose AND blood pressure. I eat a low-carb diet and low-fat diet. The latest research show that a low-carb diet is especially important for diabetics. (Some people on this site eat a low carb-high fat diet (keto) -but I can't because I have fatty liver) But most people on this site believe in the "new way" of treating diabetes with low carb diet. You can google about low carb and read the posts and ask questions here. Best wishes!
pss the most important thing about losing weight is less about "going on a diet" and more about gradually replacing unhealthy habits with healthier ones.

Yes I'm on Mounjaru, Tresiba, Fiasp Insulin, and Metformin. I am currently trying to lose weight and drink non-sugar drinks or no sugar at all drinks
