Most everyone here is living with diabetes, prediabetes or with someone who is @A DiabetesTeam Member.

I was undiagnosed for 12 years before being diagnosed by my new doctor in February 2021 with an A1C of 13.5.

My system is severely compromised.
Most people diagnosed with diabetes can handle 100-130 net carbs spread equitable throughout 3-5 meals and 1-2 snacks daily.

I eat to my blood glucose meter, my blood glucose numbers spreadsheet, and my food journal. They tell me what foods I can eat somewhat freely, what foods I must limit, and what foods I must almost totally avoid.

I supercontrol my numbers to the nondiabetic 4.0(72) to 7.8(140), aka TITR, time in tight range.

That requires me to limit my net carbs to 5-8 net carbs per meal and 15-20 net carbs per day. I eat to my meter.

Good luck.

@A DiabetesTeam Member hello to you from Australia and I have lived with late onset Diabetes type2 for quite some years and since turning 80 - just on two years ago I decided to get fitter and healthier and I have managed to get my Diabetes into remission. I walk up to 4klm most days and I feel very well. Hugs from Judyxx

@A DiabetesTeam Member yes was a late-onset Diabetes type2 sufferer and I decided about 2 years ago that I would get fit and healthy and I will be 82 on the 1st November and my Diabetes is in remission so I don’t have to take any medication for Diabetes now but I still need to be careful about my food choices and I check my sugar levels regularly too.
