I am doing all of the above and it seems to be working for me. I have changed my way of eating and don't mind it. I still get to eat a steak once in awhile.

Limit bread and carbs to smaller quantities after eating a protein. Eat regular meals and a snack before bed to reduce cravings and hunger. Avoid processed carbs and sugar. Drink more water. Do exercise in short bursts of activity and practical ways to avoid food cravings between meals. Monitor your blood sugar levels.
