Do Any Of You Use Cinnamon To Help Lower Your Blood Sugar Level?
Good morning from South Jersey @A DiabetesTeam Member, and all you warriors.
Supplements have a minimal effect for me, but they do help. Ceylon Cinnamon, Tumeric, Chrome, Co Q10, Vitamin D, Milk Thistle, Holy Basil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Magnesium Calcium Zinc... all address health issues related to Diabetes. Baby steps.
But the lot of them might make a 0.2(3-5 point (USA)) difference in my blood glucose numbers. Pharmaceutical medications work a lot better for glucose control. Baby steps.
If you are deficient in something, it might make a bigger difference initially. Baby steps.
These things help as well:
Keeping properly hydrated with proper electrolyte levels,
Eating very low carb,
Exercise,
At least 7 hours sleep,
Baby steps.
Improving gut biome health,
Attitude,
Family,
10-15 minutes Self Care daily,
Baby steps.
All are of help in controlling my diabetes journey.
These are all tools in our arsenal, to fight for life and health, in our diabetes journeys. Baby steps.
I will say that maintaining my blood glucose numbers to the nondiabetic levels of 4.0(72) to 7.8 (140), AKA TITR, time in tight range arrests cumulative vascular damage right where it is now. Baby steps.
This stops the progression of diabetes complications and comorbidities.
This can give us our best diabetes life. Baby steps.
Never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.
Hi Soozee,...it happens that we are all different, what works for one, doesn't necessarily work for the other.
I'm a supplement organic lady. I take supplement for diabetes since 2007, when my doctor sent me Metformin 500 I was in the bathroom 24/7 ( I am allergic to lots of FDA drugs, so decided to research what was out there, because I wasn't going to live in the bathroom forever ). My Ceylon cinnamon helps me, turmeric, my chronic kidney disease supplements help me and many others.
I have been pre-diabetc for the last 5 years between 5.2/6.2. Have orthostatic hypotension which is 3 different blood pressures, sit down, standing up, and laying down... everyone is different.
Have a blessed day 🙏.
Hello Hkc, thank-you so much for a great answer to my question, you really know your stuff!!!!! Have an awesome day. Baby steps.😉
