If your question is Does Diabetes cause Nausea, the answer is NO

If your question is Does some Diabetes meds cause Nausea, the answer is Yes - usually when you first start them (for a couple weeks) and then anytime the dosage is increased (for a couple weeks again)

If the Nausea is persistent then either you are not tolerating one of your diabetic prescriptions OR the Nausea has "nothing to do with diabetes"

Energy Levels are an incredibly complex issue

Yes, simply being diabetic leaves very likely to experience Low Energy Levels - we don't use blood sugar well and it's blood sugar that IS the energy our cells need, so we are at a disadvantage

But that is not the whole picture and much of our blood sugar related Energy issues can be mitigated or managed

And we should never get into the habit of Blaming "everything" on Diabetes - I just turned 60 and have more energy then 3/4's of the people I know who are the same age that "don't have diabetes"

Why?

Because my weight is normal (ya I harp on weight - it is the biggest Not Talked About Health Risk - weight kills us and is a factor is just about every disease but we can't talk about it - touchy subject)

Because I eat 4 main meals a day (no snacks) so that I'm getting FUEL into my system at 4-5 hour intervals at similar amounts/consistently - that provides more "stable" (but not MORE) energy - easier to pace when you are getting a steady supply

I exercise to keep my physical ability as tuned up as possible

I get 6 to 7 hours sleep every night

I take a few supplements to try and improve my digestive system - including a daily probiotic and a fiber supplement - the better your digestion is, the better use of the food you eat, and if you are eating healthy your are "giving your body a tune up and running it on premium fuel"

Diabetes really is a Self Help Disease and we are Beyond LUCKY that it is, most chronic conditions do not give you the options of mostly managing it yourself - we just have to make the decision to do what is BEST for US - and that is mostly simply following the advice we have been getting our whole lives - manage weight, eat healthy, exercise and get a good nights sleep

Do that, and most of our pesky "issues" tend to go away
