My Glucose Numbers Are In The 170’s First Thing In The Morning But As The Day Goes On It Drops To 90-115. Is The 170 Hurting My Organs?
What are your numbers both before every meal, and art 2 hours.
What are your numbers when you awaken. Do you begin to eat within 30 minutes of awakening.
getting off the glipizide helped my mornings and huge swings, like 180 wake, go for walk end up hypo 45 minutes later...feel lots better off that crap.
Docs have been getting on me because I test morning, then after exercise to see what can eat, then before meals, 2 hours after and at bedtime...to figure out what is going on...it has been helping to make decisions, diet/exercise and so far have shaved off 20-25 points on averages...but will have to see impact on next A1c
I have had exact same issue, mornings were sinking me...I started walking 30 minutes each morning...doc put me on Pioglitizide that I take in eve...now mornings are lower with the daily exercise and night meds...once in awhile am high...but getting control of mornings has been the number one challenge.
People without diabetes have glucose levels from 4-7.8/72-134. This would represent tight range for us. Standard range for us would be 4-10/72-180.Diabetes UK recommends 4-8.5/72-149
Keeping your glucose in tight range avoids complications, but it is extremely hard work.I try for the diabetes UK target, don't always make it.
