How Do I Know What I Can Eat Without Raising My Blood Sugar Count. I Have To Have Surgery But The Dr. Will Not Do It Till My Sugar Is Steady

First off you need to understand what the Doctor is saying and it's not just about eating this or that for a few days, it takes "months" to reduce average sugar levels before you would move the numbers enough to make surgery possible if your numbers are currently too high

And the formula "for you" may be considerably more complex than the advice you could receive here

My suggestion, if you don't already know, is get the exact "target" the surgeon is looking for.

Talk to your primary Doctor about what treatments may be added to help you get there

Get a referral to a nutritionist or dietitian and best if they (specialize) in diabetics and get a solid eating plan "for you and tailored to your health conditions"

Then stick with it
