@A DiabetesTeam Member, Similar to @A DiabetesTeam Member account, I maintain a note pad where I write down the morning numbers and before sleeping, I would recall the various foods I ate during the day but not the proportion of food. I have adopted just eating smaller portions. Through the last months, rice eater as I am and was, from 4-5 cups of rice per day, I reduced it to 0.5-1 cup a day while increasing the vegetables and protein parts. And still working on the exercising aspect as I am inconsistent lately. Regards everyone.

I to love rice, but for me I had to cut it out, one bite and my sugar spikes over 200. I'm glad you shared this, it will help others understand how important writing foods down is. Best regards Paul.

I take my readings daily and that goes into a booklet that allows me to record my food. I keep it simple with what I had not portion size. I will make notes such as late supper or BBQ party, birthday party things like that. It helps if I have a high number or a pattern starting.
