I was diagnosed with 2 type diabetes at age 36 can I live a long full life if I take meds, workout, and diet.

Short answer is yes

At your age you are going to need to keep your A1C below 6.5% for at least a few decades and below 6.0% would be even better

So if you want to make it you are going to have to decide you are going to do whatever is required

If that means losing some weight and keeping it off forever, eating healthy, getting some exercise and taking meds if you need them - whatever you need to do

Do that and you will grow old with diabetes

You can lead a healthy long life. Just change eating habits. Reduce your carb in take. Dont touch potato and sugar. You can use Splenda , plant based sugar.

Im 78 been on insulin for 21 years eat and drink sensibly so you should be fine just follow docs advice good health
