I suspect it depends what you spread it on. If on celery, it is probably really a terrific snack.

Peanut butter pushes up my bgs although I've not made any myself so that might be different although I doubt it as peanuts are high in carbs - 10g per 100g and that's why I don't eat them as nuts but choose walnuts which are only 3.3g per 100g.

Portion control is paramount..I eat no salt/sugar added peanut butter every day..just peanuts....lotsa good things in it...If I don't monitor my portions it jacks up my blood.. Fwiw I only buy organic p.b.... peanuts are heavily sprayed with a variety of pesticides.. It's very possible that this is the cause of many peoples "alergy" to peanuts although other health factors could play a role also.
