Eggs wrongly had a bad rap as regards cholesterol but now are exonerated.

If you can keep good control of your glucose then that might give you leeway to have a little cheese. Also if you can up your walking as again physical exercise can keep excess cholesterol in check.

I know we’re all human but as diabetics we can’t afford to indulge in such sentiments.

Even now I occasionally fall off the wagon with a resounding crash 😀.

And I have several Olympic Gold medals in whining!

Eating two eggs a day can be feasible for people with diabetes, even if you're on cholesterol medication, as long as your overall diet is balanced and your cholesterol levels are well-managed. Eggs are a good source of protein and can help with blood sugar control. For cheese, opt for lower-fat or portion-controlled servings to avoid excess saturated fat. Always consult your doctor or dietitian to ensure these fit your specific health plan.

It's exactly like @A DiabetesTeam Member stated

The cholesterol in eggs, meat, liver, butter etc is NOT the same cholesterol in our blood - two totally different things

The "consumed" cholesterol is simply treated as a "fat" by the liver, not "human" cholesterol - all of that is mfg by our liver using primarily "saturated fats"

So dietary cholesterol is not the reason our cholesterol is too high it's

Consumption of Saturated Fats that are converted to the bad cholesterol in our blood

So in a Bacon and Egg Breakfast it's the Bacon that messes with our numbers, not the eggs even though the eggs have way more "dietary" cholesterol in them then the bacon

I have a blocked artery, Leg. My cardiologist said that my blood flow is forming new avenues so there is no need for a stint. Thank you for reminding me. I think I am better off abstaining as I do have a fear of blockage. Thanks.👍
