I Am Showered With Emails That Offer Help With Diabetes Using Their Products. I've Read Some Of Your Q&A's And Think Its Good.
I DONT want Products with price tags. I want to belong to a group where genuine and helpful FREE advice is provided. Is this such a group?
I've been coming here daily for about a year now and have never been asked to pay one cent for anything.
I once received those kinds of emails @A DiabetesTeam Member.
But I did my research in medical and scientific journals. I also researched university studies from all over the world. And still do that research monthly.
I am a man of science, logic and reason.
I found out that 'snake oil salesmen' promise you miracle cures that have very little actual effect on your numbers ... so no cure.
If you rely on them your health will suffer, and your pockets will empty.
Normal nondiabetic blood glucose numbers are 4.0(72) to 7.8(140). These are numbers we should strive for. They preclude the additional vascular damage from glucose spikes that causes and contributes to diabetes complications and comorbidities.
Coincidentally this is called TITR, time in tight range, 4.0(72) to 7.8(140). In studies these guidelines are the best guarantee for a long and happy life filled with adventures.
It would be nice not to go through what both my Mom and Dad went through culminating in their deaths from diabetes complications and comorbidities 30 years ago.
When diagnosed with diabetes February 2021, my A1C was 13.5. I was blessed with severe debilitating foot pain on walking for 9 months already when diagnosed.
Diabetes peripheral neuropathy totally sucks.
I controlled my numbers to 5.7(103) to 7.5(135) and still do with no diabetes medications yet.
The results were multi-faceted.
3.5 months later my A1C was 4.9.
My vision improved drastically.
The damage that was done to my liver and kidneys from 9 weeks every day of intense radiation treatments, began to reverse.
The diabetes peripheral neuropathy was easing. In a total of 5 months from the diabetes diagnosis the painful feet went away.
After 2 heart operations, my heart is stronger and I had to dump all 3 blood pressure medications on doctors orders. Because my bp got so low, I couldn't even stand up.
About 9 months before my new doctor diagnosed me with diabetes I asked all my doctors to help me reduce my prescription medications. I also went down from 13 prescription medications to 3 in 16 months from diagnoses.
I continue to be blessed with cancer treatments for the last 6+ years - currently on my 9th treatment. The treatments have resulted in reduced bone density, osteopenia. So I am currently taking a supplement for bone health.
And I will never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.
