Hello All, Has Anyone Tries Chia Seeds And How Was Your Experience, Does It Help With Diabetes?
You have to be careful how you ask that question
Does Chia Seeds or any other food or seed or anything (except medication) actually Improve your Blood Sugar - the answer is a big NO
Chia Seeds are high in fiber and unsaturated fats which are generally "healthy choices"
If you eat Chia Seeds instead of something processed or full of sugar then yes your blood sugar will be "better than it would have been" but only because Chia Seeds don't jack it up high like something else would
And that is a whole lot different than "eat some of these seeds and your blood sugar will be lower" - don't work like that
You could replace the Chia Seeds with BACON and your blood sugar would be even better - of course the bacon is full of saturated fats and could contribute to a stroke or heart attack if you ate bacon for every meal, but your Blood Sugar would be "great"
So NO - does NOT HELP Diabetes
Yes - effects blood sugar "less" than something else AND is otherwise nutritious so good reason to eat them
But if looking to lower blood sugar, the only thing you can put in your mouth that does that is Water or Medication
