Before you panic you should see what the situation is over three days
If your levels are lower than your target before breakfast
Decrease your evening short insulin by 2 units on the third day
If lower than target before lunch for three days running, decrease morning short insulin by 2 units
If lower than target before tea/.evening meal for three days running, decrease your short morning insulin by 2 unit.
If low before s GCupper decrease evening (tea time).by 2 units.
Same guide lines apply when glucose is higher than target only insulin is increased.
Only alter one dose at a time
Only adjust by 2 units at a time
If your figures are inconsistent with these guidelines or if you have doubts about your control
